Assistant Professor of Slavic and Eurasian Studies

The Department of Slavic and Eurasian Studies at The University ofTexas at Austin invites applications for a tenure-track positionbeginning September 2023 at the rank of assistant professor. Theposition is open regarding disciplinary and thematic emphasis, butpreference will be given to scholars specializing in studies of theformer Russian and Soviet empires and their borderlands (includingChinese borderlands), and, especially, Ukrainian, or Central AsianStudies. Candidates working in transdisciplinary areas includingindigeneity, racialization, and racism(s); critical and literarytheory; or policy and security studies will also be prioritized.
