Job DescriptionJob Description
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and is a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan. Candidates must have demonstrated clinical skills and knowledge of sterile techniques and an in-depth knowledge of labor and delivery, prepartum and postpartum patient care, and high-risk antenatal care. Clinical trial research experience is a plus.

This is a 12.5 hour, three day per week or a five 7.5 hour shift position.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides nursing care following established nursing service objectives and standards
  • Ensures that all safety and infection control practices are followed
  • Distributes and documents medications (including narcotics) according to established standards and regulations
  • Responds to emergency situations
  • Provides support as part of a team working to understand, diagnose, treat, and prevent disorders related to infant mortality
  • Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Communicates with patients and families regarding treatment and care


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan
  • Demonstrated clinical skills and knowledge of sterile techniques
  • In-depth knowledge of labor and delivery, prepartum and postpartum patient care, and high-risk antenatal care
  • Previous clinical trial research experience a plus
  • Highly professional and dependable
  • Communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with a diverse group of team members
  • Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient computer and internet skills
