SwimKids Swim School is excited to announce that we have immediate YEAR-ROUND openings for Infant/ Toddler Instructors (children ages range between 2 months - 3 years old)

You will facilitate games, songs, activities, and education that will give parents and their children life changing water safety skills and knowledge. We are looking for reliable, responsible individuals with high energy and enthusiasm for growth and problem solving. Previous coaching experience or a swimming background is welcomed but not necessary - we provide PAID training for all necessary certifications and will teach you everything you need to know in order to thrive and be a successful member of our SwimKids team!

Available Shifts include:
Sat and/or Sun Mornings (7:30am - 1:30pm) Monday- Friday Evenings (4:00pm - 8:00pm)Limited morning shifts (8:30am -1:30pm)

Qualifications & Requirements:

1. Love to work with children of all ages (2 months - 3 years old) - experience with this age group preferred
2. Love to work with and teach parents of small children
3. A passion for water safety
4. Team player who is dependable and reliable
5. Willing and eager to be coached by teammates and managers
6. Positive attitude with high energy and excitement to learn and solve problems
7. Ability to work in the water for periods of at least 5 hours at a time
8. Minimum Age of 17
9. Complete 60 hours of paid training
10. Excitement to sing and play games with babies, young children and adults in the pool
11. Able to work evening (4-8pm) and weekend shifts (Sat or Sun 7:30am - 1:30pm)
12. Embrace and commit to the SwimKids Core Focus, "We build loving relationships that save lives."

Physical Job Requirements:

1. Able to be in the water for up to 5 hours consecutively
2. Ability to lift a child, in the water, between the ages of 2 years old and 10 years old (25 to 55 lbs.)
3. Ability to stand on hard flooring continuously for at least 5 hours

Responsibilities:

• Ensure safety by maintaining line of sight of each swimmer throughout their swim lesson
• Teach your swimmers the SwimKids Swim School Progressions by delivering impactful lessons each day
• Effectively manage classes of 3-6 children at a time
• Commit to teaching your swimmers important life skills such as self-esteem and self-confidence
• Complete required trainings and be a continual learner
• Handle all incidents in a manner appropriate to your training
• Be a consistent and dependable coach for your swimmers - they look forward to seeing you every week
• Deliver excellent customer service to all that utilize our facility

Our water exceeds all health requirements with our inline ultraviolet (UV) system in addition to maintaining proper chemical balance. We require face shields and/or protective masks for any staff member or customer who is not fully vaccinated. In addition, employees self report daily on our wellness questions and are exercising frequent hand-washing. Our facilities have been deep cleaned. The organization has invested in nightly professional cleaning.
