This position is a grade 16 with a minimum of $66,075. Salary offer will be commensurate with the education/experience, in alignment with the College's compensation philosophy, and the current CBA, if applicable.

An employee in this classification performs work of moderate difficulty by contributing to the planning and execution of Center for the Enhancement of Teaching, Assessment and Learning's programs and resources. Work is distinguished by the ability to contribute to project and program development and management, facilitation of workshops and institutes, and one-on-one consultations. Direction is received by the assigned manager.
*Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities*:

* Masters degree in a related teaching/learning field with a minimum of four semesters (as the instructor of record) experience teaching college-level courses in a classroom setting and/or equivalent combination of training and experience.
* Considerable knowledge of scholarship on instructional design, assessment practices, and inclusive pedagogies such as culturally responsive teaching and Universal Design for Learning.
* Considerable knowledge of academic outcomes assessment methods and best practices.
* Considerable knowledge of successful coaching and mentoring strategies.
* Considerable skill creating and leading professional learning opportunities, such as interactive workshops or institutes, for diverse audiences with varied professional development needs.
* Considerable skill working with instructional technologies such as course management systems.
* Considerable skill in interpersonal interaction to be applied to a variety of individuals with differing education, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.
* Considerable skill in organizing work to meet established deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
* Considerable skills in verbal and written communication.
* Working skills in project creation, development, and management.
* Working skills in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Access and Publisher
* Working skill in operating a personal computer, applicable software and peripheral equipment as well as learning and adapting to new and updated programs and technology.
* Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends when required by the department's needs.
* Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:*
Experience teaching college-level courses in a classroom setting at a community college.
* Essential Duties:*
1. Partner with the Center for the Enhancement of Teaching, Assessment and Learning Associate Dean to plan, sustain, and assess programs and initiatives that support teaching excellence (e.g., teaching workshops, multi-day institutes, and consultations).
2. Develop, deliver, and evaluate individual Center for the Enhancement of Teaching, Assessment and Learning sessions that are part of Center for the Enhancement of Teaching, Assessment and Learning programs, such as, recurring workshops and events, and portions of New Faculty Orientations, among others.
3. Draw from research on teaching and learning in higher education and from collaborating with others to create and maintain on-demand resources, such as the Center for the Enhancement of Teaching, Assessment and Learning Google Site and other communications, directed to faculty members and administrators who seek to enhance their teaching knowledge and skills.
4. Contribute to and/or lead efforts to gain campus-wide and external visibility and partnerships for Center for the Enhancement of Teaching, Assessment and Learning.
5. Collaborate on college-wide teaching and learning initiatives and serve on institutional committees.
6. Assist individual faculty members upon request (including requests from those who are preparing for promotion and tenure reviews) on matters related to teaching.
7. Maintains required training, licensure and/or certifications
8. Maintains confidentiality of privileged information and adheres to applicable privacy laws
9. Demonstrates sensitivity, understanding and respect of diverse populations within the workplace.
10. Maintains an understanding of the work of colleagues to effectively provide backup and/or support for co-workers during times when the division is short-staffed or experiencing an increased volume of work.
