Level B ($102,952-$121,779) and Level C ($125,537-$144,368) per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

We are seeking to appoint 1 x Lecturer and 1 x Senior Lecturer on 3 year Fixed term convertible appointments.

The School of Agriculture, Food and Wine seeks to appoint two emerging leaders in food science with experience in undergraduate learning and teaching within the Food and Nutrition Science domain.

The appointees will be expected to introduce innovative approaches to teaching and assessment, and contribute collaboratively to curriculum design for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses/programs in food science across the department. The appointees will also contribute significantly to our Haide College programs which forms part of the University's Joint Education Institution based in Qingdao, China, in partnership with Ocean University China.

To be successful you will need:
  • Demonstrable expertise in the food sector.
  • Demonstrated ability and commitment to teaching in food sciences.
  • Demonstrated evidence in design and delivery of undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching and assessment (Level C only).
  • Demonstrated evidence of engagement with relevant professional and industry bodies to advance food science education (Level C only).
  • Strong organisational, time management, intercultural and interpersonal skills.
