Job Details

Applications are invited for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position in the Center for Proteomics and Molecular Therapeutics at the Chicago Medical School/Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. We seek Ph.D. or M.D/Ph.D. scientists with an outstanding record of accomplishments and who will establish an innovative externally funded research program. We are particularly interested in collaborative candidates with interest in systems biology, proteomics, and/or integrated multi-omics with a research program focused on molecular mechanisms of health and disease. We offer an excellent environment for creative interdisciplinary biomedical research in the recently opened Innovation Research Park with high-performance computing facilities, state-of-the-art laboratory space and equipment, and a full-time administrator to support faculty research activities. In addition, a wealth of state-of-the-science core facilities are available to support the research mission. Faculty in our department have diverse backgrounds and interests, including cellular, molecular, and structural biology, biochemistry, physiology, and neurobiology.

Faculty rank will be determined by the qualifications of the successful candidate. For teaching, a joint appointment in the academic discipline of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology is also offered.  A successful track record of extramural funding, peer-reviewed publications, and collaborations appropriate to the career stage is required.

We offer competitive start-up funds, laboratory space, and salary.

Review of complete applications will begin on 10/24/2022, and continue until the position is filled.

Please include in the application: a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a research statement with prior research accomplishments and future research plans, and contact information for three references. Interviews will occur in two phases: video conference followed by in-person visits.
