Position Description
TheIngram School of Engineering (https://www.engineering.txst.edu/) of Texas State University seeks to fill a non-tenure line position of faculty of practice in manufacturing engineering at the Assistant Professor of Practice level to begin in Fall 2023. The successful candidate will be expected to teach senior-level capstone design and other manufacturing engineering courses. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate manufacturing engineering laboratories, undergraduate courses in manufacturing engineering, and senior-level capstone design courses. Required Qualifications
+ A master's degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related discipline.
+ A minimum of five years beyond entry level of documented full-time professional practice experience in industry in the field of manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related discipline.
+ Applicant must hold a Professional Engineer (PE) License or be able to obtain a PE License within a period of three years.
+ Demonstrate, by virtue of education and/or design experience, qualifications to teach courses that are primarily design in content.
+ Record of professional publications and/or presentations.
+ Demonstrated leadership roles in manufacturing engineering related professional organizations.
Preferred Qualifications
+ A doctoral level degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related discipline.
+ Record of teaching experience related to manufacturing engineering.
+ Experience with ABET accreditation procedures and deliverables.
+ Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication.
