This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
  • Coordinate work packages with the onsite testing group on behalf of GSK and help prioritize in accordance with agreed project timelines and business needs.
  • Interface with project leads and partner groups to ensure alignment and accomplishment of group objectives.
  • Conduct or attend analytical focused meetings as needed with project leads and partner groups in which analytical needs, resources and troubleshooting are discussed.
  • Oversee and as needed perform a variety of complex sample and standard tasks (receipt, check-in, login, labeling, etc.)
  • Evaluate current sample tracking procedure and identify and implement improvements to the process utilizing business data analytics solutions.
  • Provide scientific expertise as required to large and small molecule projects.
  • Ensure data are recorded and documented according to ALCOA + principles.
  • May review and approve analytical testing experiments and relevant reports as requested by GSK project teams.
  • Assist in training where appropriate.
  • Participate in the identification and implementation of best practices and new ways of working throughout AD DS&PA US.
  • Where appropriate, represent Analytical Development in discussion with other groups in the areas of the job holder's expertise.
  • May participate in interviewing and selection of staff for onsite testing group.
  • Has knowledge of various large molecule analytical techniques.
  • Assist with forecasting for operational budgets and capital equipment
  • Assist with consumables tracking and cross charging.
  • May generate testing metrics to disseminate or present at meetings with key stakeholders.

  • BS in Chemistry with 5+ years of relevant experience, or MS in Chemistry with 3+ years of relevant experience


Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Experience with both small molecule and biopharm analytical development.
  • Good technical writing skills for documentation.
  • Collaborates well with others in the group and across groups.
  • Knowledge of cGMP requirements.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in project management.
