The role

We're looking for an adaptable, motivated and organised Marketing Assistant to join our central Marketing Team, within the International Marketing team. The Marketing team in External Relations is responsible for leading and coordinating the University's promotional and marketing activities in support of our student recruitment targets and protecting and enhancing our reputation.

This is a key time for the University of Bristol as it embarks on a brand refresh, investment in digital channels and experience, and development of our marketing and communications expertise. Our new strategy is aspirational in terms of what we deliver and stand for as a University - from teaching and research to civic commitment and impact.

This - combined with the social, political and economic environment - presents us with exciting opportunities to enhance our international marketing strategies and the channels and tactics we use to promote ourselves to key audiences.

What will you be doing?

With direction from the Marketing team, you will work closely with other members of External Relations including several teams across the International Office and academic and professional services staff to promote the University internationally. You will support recruitment marketing across all channels.

You will provide administrative support including answering marketing enquiries, assisting with creating and storing assets, and supporting the general day-to-day activity of the team. As part of the role, you will help to develop and promote content to reach targeted audiences worldwide, which may include print and digital marketing as well as web content and social media

You should have excellent attention to detail and customer service skills, as well as good IT proficiency and organisational skills. Experience working in a marketing or customer-oriented environment is desirable.
