Job Description
Drew University, a liberal arts college located 30 miles outside New York City, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in macroeconomics and monetary economics beginning August 2023. We welcome pluralistic approaches to macroeconomics that touch on public policy, labor markets, and corporate governance, amongst other possibilities. The successful candidate will teach courses in introductory and intermediate macroeconomics, and money & banking, as well as direct our flagship Wall Street semester program based in New York City. This program involves a series of field trips including meetings with financial analysts, policy makers and other actors (a number of whom are alumni of Drew University) in a range of public and private financial institutions (e.g., the Federal Reserve, the SEC and OCC).

The successful candidate will thrive in a liberal arts environment, working closely with our diverse and international undergraduate students. Contributions to interdisciplinary, experiential, and global macroeconomic perspectives are also valued. Drew offers a pre-tenure sabbatical to support scholarship development.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Economics by August 1, 2023.
