Job Description
The University of Maryland School of Medicine seeks candidates to join the full-time faculty of the Division of Plastic Surgery, at the rank of Assistant Professor. Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in Plastic Surgery, or currently in training in an accredited Plastic Surgery fellowship program. Responsibilities will include establishing a broad reconstructive surgery practice at the University of Maryland Easton Hospital and Chester River Hospital, conducting independent clinical or laboratory research, providing care to complex plastic surgical breast and melanoma patients, contributing to the comprehensive growth of plastic surgery throughout the Medical System, and participating in the education of medical students and surgery residents in the future. There are also opportunities for aesthetic cases at nearby ambulatory centers. Easton is soon starting construction of a new hospital so there is tremendous opportunity for growth in this region. Candidates should be willing to develop a robust clinical practice, with many opportunities for academic development and scholarly activity. Ocean City, Easton, Cambridge, and Annapolis are nearby with numerous outdoor and water activities.
