The College of Arts and Letters at Stevens Institute of Technology is seeking candidates for a full-time, non-tenure-track, renewable faculty appointment as Teaching or Industry Assistant Professor of Music & Technology, beginning in fall 2023.Candidates must have an advanced degree in Music and a minimum of five years of work experience as a professional audio engineer. Experience teaching production courses at the university level is preferred. In addition to professional experience in large console format recording studios, candidates must have fluency in industry standard music software including Pro Tools, Logic Audio, Ableton, and other frequency analysis software toolsets.

The successful candidate will teach recording technology courses in the Music & Technology program including the four-course Sound Recording sequence. Other courses will be assigned based on the applicants experience and expertise. The successful candidate will also maintain and oversee Music & Technology labs and supervise equipment check-out systems, repair, and maintenance.
