YOUR ROLE
•Support and enforce safety and environmental policies and procedures
•Ensure compliance to OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) including chemical reactions, PPE, Process design, etc.
•Create plant Engineering vision and strategy to align with company strategies and values
•Assist in setting objectives, work plan development, and performance review of facility operations for the engineering, maintenance, project management, and PSM departments
•Identify and successfully implement improvements in our engineering processes, tools, and architecture to enable us to deliver on our key initiatives
•Influence continuous engineering improvement through mentoring, coaching, and metrics
•Implement best practices to ensure an optimized, stable, scalable engineering environment
•Improve product and/or productivity with new technologies and processes
•Write subordinates reviews and monthly reports
•Manage assigned capital projects within budget while meeting project deadlines
•Work with Quality, R&D, & TS in solving customer complaints timely
•Lead all new product introductions into the plant following ADP procedures
•Oversee Plant PD on innovations, product transfers, and product scale ups
•Lead Continuous improvement and cost reduction projects to eliminate waste
•Anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner
•Prepare annual budgets and deliver within the budget
•Oversee the plant maintenance functions
YOUR SKILLS
•Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering minimum requirement (Master's degree preferred)
•Ten years related experience and/or training
•Black belt Six sigma certified required
•Strong oral and written communication skills
•Knowledge of process safety and chemical process design in a continuous and batch operation
•Strong organizational skills
•Problem solving ability and critical thinking skills required
