POSITION: Adjunct Instructor - Doctor of Physical Therapy DEPARTMENT: College of Arts and Sciences - Physical Therapy STATUS: Part Time/Adjunct (Effective Fall Semester 2022) Position Summary: The DPT program is looking for engaging and enthusiastic clinicians to assist with lecture, laboratory, and active learning. Adjunct faculty are responsible for assisting the course coordinators with various duties associated with delivery of didactic and laboratory-based courses. Preferences for this position will have a PT, or DPT and possess the academic credentials necessary for appointment to the faculty of the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Assist with lab and active learning within assigned course * Teach course material and implement effectively, as assigned * Meet classes as scheduled * Meet deadlines as established by the instructor of record * Evaluate and assess student performance, as assigned * Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times * Uphold and abide by all Campbell University policies and procedures, including, but not limited to; Title IX, and Information Security, including but not limited to HIPAA, FERPA and other state and federal guidelines * Other job-related duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at the discretion of the Program Director, at any time, with or without notice Education/Experience: * An earned DPT degree from accredited US institution * Prior teaching experience in clinical or academic setting is desired * 3 years of full time work experience * Eligible for or currently maintains licensure in North Carolina * ABPTS certification in area of practice * Active in professional activities at local, state, and national level Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Communicate effectively to all groups through both oral and written channels * Ability to maintain strict confidentiality is essential * Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and common methods of digital communication including web/text/chat platforms * Comprehensive computer skills with the ability to learn and utilize new and emerging technology * Demonstrate tact, a positive attitude, courtesy and discretion in dealing with faculty, staff, students, university officials and the public * Work independently as well as function effectively in a team and within a diverse group of people * Exercise independent judgment in complex and new situations * Manage multiple, concurrent projects, and meet strict deadlines * Adaptablility, flexibility and a willingness to work in a changing environment * This position demands accuracy, honesty, integrity and the ability to work within the Christian mission of Campbell University To Apply For This Position: Campbell University is unable to accept paper or email applications.
