The Department of Economics in the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University seeks qualified applicants to join its existing team of innovative teaching professionals.

The positions are full-time, permanent positions with no tenure implication. Contracts are renewed annually contingent upon availability of funds, satisfactory performance, and the needs of the university. Salary is competitive and dependent upon qualifications, experience, and rank.
Essential Functions: Successful candidates will be expected to effectively teach seven courses per academic year. Clinical professors teach large introductory classes of principles and/or statistics in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats. Clinical professors may also be asked to teach at any of ASU's campuses in the Phoenix metropolitan area. In addition to introductory courses, candidates may have the opportunity to teach intermediate, econometrics, or elective undergraduate and masters-level courses.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:All candidates must have 1) a PhD in Economics in hand by August 2023 and 2) a demonstrated interest in teaching in the field of economics.
Desired Qualifications:

Evidence of successful teaching in large classes.
Demonstrated use of innovative teaching practices.
Experience teaching online.
Experience teaching statistics, quantitative methods, or data science.
Research activity sufficient to maintain "scholarly academic" status under The W.P. Carey School of Business and AACSB guidelines.
