Description

The Program Manager is an individual contributor role, based in the Compendial Operations Department in the Case Management Function, that support leaders in USPs science division to plan, coordinate and ensure completion of projects and standards on time within budget and within scope. Working in a global, matrix environment the role will actively collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Divisions at all organizational levels within a governance structure to develop, implement and manage a synchronized operational production plan. In this role the incumbent will balance routine program management work with cross-functional business process development and new capability building responsibilities.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Develop standards production plans in collaboration with cross-functional team and manage plan performance
  • Lead/manage cross-functional teams, including improvement initiatives and new capability building, to synchronize operational work and resolve roadblocks
  • Apply project management best practices to fulfill responsibilities
  • Assume a strategic partner role on programmatic work with stakeholders within the Global Science and Standards Division
  • Develop and manage project timelines, milestones, and work plans
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
  • Provide tailored project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in relevant field
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years of relevant experience in life science industry or healthcare environment
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience managing multiple, complex programs

Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams within a global governance
  • Ability to handle and provide data driven solutions
  • Able to effectively prioritize and efficiently manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Ability to build effective work relationships and work collaboratively in a global setting
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to mobilize stakeholders to results at all organizational levels
  • High business acumen abilities - can understand and deliver on business objectives
  • High comfort with navigating through ambiguity and frequent change, and course-adjusting in the moment
  • Demonstrated ability to distill project information and complexities into actions and meaningful outcomes
  • Experience with MS Project and other project management software
  • Results driven with demonstrated successful outcomes.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
