Position Summary:

A Research Associate I/II or Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the Department of Hematology and Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation under Dr. Jianhua Yu and Dr. Michael Caligiuri. This candidate will be supporting one of our many projects focusing on NK cell biology, cancer immunotherapy through engineered CAR T and/or CAR NK cells, oncolytic virotherapy, antibody development, stem cell (including iPSCs) research, depending on the individual's interests and strengths.

Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:

Research Associate I:

Bachelor's degree in biological sciences.

0-2 years of research/laboratory experience.

Research Associate II:

Bachelor's degree. Master's in biological sciences.
2 years related research/ laboratory experience with a Bachelor's degree or one year related research/ laboratory experience with a Master's degree.

Postdoctoral Fellow:

Ph.D. degree in Life Sciences or related field with a strong background and profound knowledge in the field of either virology, immunology, cancer immunology or immunotherapy.
Previous experience in working with animal models of human cancer.
Literature knowledge of one of the research areas mentioned above.
Evidence of scientific rigor and excellence as documented by high-impact peer- reviewed publications.
Strong team player with excellent communication skills and fluency in English, both spoken and written.

Preferred education, experience and skills:

Experience in mammalian cell culture and molecular biology techniques are desirable.
Must be willing to work with laboratory mice.
