Surgical Technology Instructor

The Keiser University Clearwater Campus is seeking a full-time faculty member to deliver instruction in an on-ground Associate of Arts in Surgical Technology degree program leading to certification. The ideal candidate must be effective in teaching and knowledgeable in subject matter as documented by appropriate professional credential(s)/certification(s), education, and
experience in surgical technology.

Faculty with instructional responsibilities in core surgical technology courses must:

• be a graduate of an education program in surgical technology accredited by a nationally
  recognized programmatic accreditation agency; and
• possess a credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification
  program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA);
  and
• have a minimum total of two years of experience, either in the operating room scrub role
  or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past five
  years.

Instructors are responsible for leveraging their expertise to deliver education services to students through:

• Preparing course plans and materials
• Delivering courses
• Monitoring progress/attendance in class, lab, and clinical settings
• Advising students
• Recording grades and submitting reports
