LC State invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Art
Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: $50,000 - $52,000
Degree Required:
Terminal degree (e.g., MFA, PhD) in a relevant discipline from a regionally accredited college or university
Required Qualifications:
Evidence of effectiveness at teaching in painting and drawing Experience in effectively establishing positive relationships and communication with students and members of the community. Commitment to engaging the community through outreach events at the Center for Arts and History
Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching experience at the college or university level. Record of accomplishment in the field, as demonstrated by exhibitions and projects in venues relevant to the candidate's practice. Commitment to research and/or creative practice.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include: teaching 12.0 credits/semester, including general education arts courses (through multiple modalities), teaching beginning and advanced painting and drawing, advising students and interns, maintaining a program of scholarly/creative production, service to the College and Division, and other duties as assigned.
