The Management Department in the Pompea College of Business at the University of New Haven invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level beginning in Fall of 2023. The position includes teaching, service, and research expectations along with a responsibility to take a faculty leadership role in the Business Strategy Curriculum and the College's activities that are associated with that curriculum.

Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with teaching and research interests in Business Strategy . Successful candidates can expect to teach Business Strategy at both the undergraduate and graduate level. This position will becharged with developing team-based experiential opportunities for both graduate and undergraduate students with regional businesses and organizations. Student projects will be taught as "for credit" practicum courses that provide our students with an exceptional educational experience while they deliver business value to the participating businesses and organizations. The intent is to develop and maintain a flagship program in experiential education that enhances the University of New Haven Pompea College of Business brand. Candidate experience designing and deploying consulting-like engagements and professional work products via students is preferred. A Ph.D. at the time of appointment is preferred, but ABD candidates will be considered.

Successful candidates should have strong communication skills, leadership skills, a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence, a student orientation, and an interest in scholarly and applied research. All faculty members are expected to engage in student-focused activities such as advising and career mentoring. As an AACSB accredited institution, faculty members are expected to engage in service activities and maintain an active record of relevant scholarship.
