About the Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness Program
The Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness graduate program offers online and residential M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Philosophy and Religion. Our graduate degrees are motivated by the desire to re-imagine the human species as a mutually enhancing member of the Earth community. This reimagination entails seeking new and transformative pathways across multiple disciplines, including an expanded vision of philosophy, cosmology, and consciousness inspired by the world's spiritual traditions, the natural sciences, Indigenous lifeways, esoteric approaches, depth psychology, environmental humanities, and integral ecologies.
Description
The Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness program at the California Institute of Integral Studies invites applications for an open rank core faculty position that begins in July 2023. We invite applications from qualified candidates whose research addresses either cosmology (western and/or non-western) or the history and transformation of consciousness with attention to questions of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Candidates working on cosmology and ethics; Indigenous philosophy; comparative philosophy; the new animism; nonwestern approaches to re-enchantment and secularity; ecological civilization; or healing and religion are especially encouraged to apply.
