The City of Olathe is seeking energetic individuals to teach volleyball, baseball, or soccer to youth participants. This position is part-time, seasonal, and shifts are Saturdays and Sundays from beginning April 2nd.

This position will instruct groups of children in the fundamentals of the assigned sport. You will demonstrate techniques and methods of participation. And you will evaluate athletes' strengths and weaknesses to improve the athletes' technique to prepare them for competition.

But most of all you will teach sports to children and facilitate a fun experience for all!

Must be at least 14 years of age.

• Plan, organize, and conduct class sessions.
• Adjust coaching techniques based on the strengths and weaknesses of participants.
• Instruct participants in sports rules, game strategies, and fundamentals.
• Monitor athletes' use of equipment in order to ensure safe and proper use.
• Explain and enforce safety rules and regulations.
• Explain and demonstrate the use of sports and training equipment.
• Select, acquire, store and issue equipment and other materials as necessary
• Foster social interaction amongst participants.

Experience & Education Guidelines: Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is acceptable. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be:
