The selected candidate will teach 12 to 16 credit hours of undergraduate level courses each semester from the college's curriculum in the Mathematics major program, to mentor Mathematics majors and minors to include supervision and assessment of students in the program. The candidate must be versed in the following courses in Mathematics:
• Abstract and Linear Algebra
• Trigonometry
• Elementary Functions
• Probability and Statistics
• Calculus Series
• Differential Equations
• Geometry
• Elementary Number Theory
Participation in professional meetings, conducting scholarly research, academic advisement of students and service on various college committees represent additional duties. A Master's degree in Mathematics is the minimum qualification for this position. However, an earned Ph.D. along with previous college-level teaching experience is strongly preferred.
