Liquid Ink Chemist: Bristol, TN (Full time, First Shift Direct Hire)

Our client, a well-established business specializing in ink, is seeking a Liquid Ink Chemist for their first shift. The purpose of this position is to formulate Flexographic Ink and Gravure Ink products. This includes formulating new products as well as improving existing products. Provide additional support to the company in various areas relating to meeting customer requirements. Monday-Friday. Hours: 8am-4:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Supporting the development of new products/ formulations.
• Improvement to present formulations.

1. Working with customers for new product trials and field technical service.
2. Utilizing new and more efficient raw materials. Support cost cutting initiative by using up old inventory in batches. Formulate with existing raw materials when possible. Evaluate cost saving opportunities.
3. Selecting, calibrating, installing and maintaining lab equipment

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, related field, equivalent advanced knowledge, or ink lab

experience

• Proficient with Windows based software, including databases

• Demonstrated ability to work with hazardous chemicals.

• Physical ability to lift and move material (at least 50 lbs.)

• Good verbal and written skills for internal and external communication.
