Position Summary
Transforming lives by representing the College and program-specific careers in the community, the Associate Dean has management responsibility for development, coordination, and supervision of various educational activities related to assigned programs throughout the District.

Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for providing day-to-day management of functions and activities in an academic School, specifically the Allied Health Programs.

Develop course schedules (fall, spring, and summer) and faculty workload assignments for full-time and part-time faculty.

Provide support of existing programming to include evaluation processes, program review and TSA.

Ensure quality of curriculum, course design and delivery, adequate supplies and equipment, and enforcement of safety processes and procedures.

Provide input to the Academic Dean in the development and implementation of new certificates, diplomas, and degree program offerings.

Implement course and program modification and assign curriculum development based on college guidelines and processes.

Collaborate with Academic Dean to coordinate program accreditation/reaccreditation efforts and licensure, if applicable.

Effectively prepare and maintain budget based on goals of the School and College, to include scheduling based on the budget, ordering supplies, and ensuring payroll is submitted.

Collaborate with others to promote student recruitment, registration, orientation, retention, and placement.

Respond to student and instructor concerns and issues, develop, and implement solutions, and make recommendations to the Academic Dean when appropriate.

Collaborate with the Academic Dean in overseeing academic initiatives, special projects, grants, and student/personnel issues in support of student retention and success.

Recruit, orient, mentor, evaluate and provide for the ongoing development and evaluation of faculty and/or support professionals. Provide input into the hiring process.

Review, prepare and submit revisions to College publications (e.g. program guides, cluster books, college website, and other marketing publications).

Guide internal and external communication and collaborative efforts.

Maintain facility and equipment, including management and inventory.

Serve on College committees, attend College-wide activities, and participate in staff development activities and professional organizations.

Represent the college at state and local functions and attend events.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Minimum of two years of occupational experience in a field of employment related to the Allied Health area required.

Minimum of two years teaching experience at the secondary level or higher preferred.

Prior supervisory experience and demonstrated leadership skills required.

Must possess excellent problem resolution, organizational, interpersonal, communication, computer, and project management skills.

Must possess ability to:

Compensation is dependent upon experience and qualifications.
