The Department of Cognitive Science in the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute invites applicants for a non-tenure track position in the Psychological Science program starting in Fall 2023.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent in psychology or a closely related field at the time of appointment. Applicants should have a strong desire and commitment to teaching and student support primarily at the undergraduate level. Experience in undergraduate-level teaching is strongly preferred. We seek a scholar who will collaborate with departmental colleagues to expand course offerings and research in areas including introductory courses, research methods and statistics, behavioral neuroscience, cognitive neuroscience, sensation and perception, social psychology, personality, developmental psychology, and learning. The Cognitive Science Department offers B.S. undergraduate programs in Psychological Science, Cognitive Science, and Philosophy, and M.S. and Ph.D. graduate programs in Cognitive Science.
