Synthetic Chemist

Essential Responsibilities:

• Able to execute new chemical reactions to prepare grams scale products
• Able to work independently on project tasks assigned with minimum supervision
• Takes ownership of assigned tasks and follows through good attention to detail and thorough laboratory documentation skills
• Prepare written project updates and reports for clients
• Time management and ability to complete projects on time
• Analytical HPLC and semi-preparative HPLC experience is a plus
• Must be able to effectively multi task
• Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 25+ pounds on occasion

Education and/or Experience:

• BS, MS, or Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry, focused on synthesis
• Strong synthetic organic chemistry and experience is a must
• Experience in design and synthesis of new compounds is critical
• Team work and strong problem solving experiences are essential
• Two or more years industrial experience in organic synthesis
• Computer and software (MS word and excel, Scifinder)
• Good working knowledge of analytical techniques including NMR, MS, and HPLC
