Battery Scientist - Battery Manufacturing - Irvine, CA

Great Opportunity to join an exciting company in the battery development space. Seeking an experienced Battery Scientist with industry background in Chemicals/Li-Ion battery cell development.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and operate in-house battery construction
  • Slurry mixing, electrode fab, final cell assembly
  • Coating composition recommendations
  • Physical/electrochemical property management
  • Testing, qualification, analysis

Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in Chemicals, Materials or related field
  • 1-2+ years professional experience (preferred)
  • Li-Ion battery systems fabrication experience (materials & format variety)
  • Root cause / failure analysis
  • Materials knowledge of battery electrodes / electrochemistry characterization
