What You Will Achieve

Join us as a Scientist for this exciting opportunity in the LCMS Biomeasures group in Pfizer Andover applying protein LCMS bioanalysis to transformative mRNA/LNP and biotherapeutics projects. You will primarily develop protein mass spectrometry and targeted proteomics assays to measure concentrations and turnover of targets of biotherapeutics in a variety of biological matrices as well as transgene protein expression from mRNA-LNP therapies. This is an opportunity to leverage your expertise in sample preparation and enrichment techniques including protein and peptide immunoaffinity in conjunction with LCMS-based detection using high resolution and triple quadrupole MS. The measured parameters from preclinical studies or human specimens are input parameters to mechanistic models supporting target evaluation, dose, or efficacy projections. You will join a state-of-the-art laboratory with deep expertise in protein quantification by mass spectrometry. As a member of the LCMS team, you are expected to build strong collaborative partnerships, both within and outside the group, and work in project teams and interacts with modelling & simulation experts, project leads, biologists, and protein engineers.

How You Will Achieve It
  • Develop, qualify and implement transgene protein, target biomeasure and pharmacodynamic biomarker assays using mass spectrometry in support of discovery and translational projects.
  • Work with group lead or other biomeasure team members and project team members to accomplish goals.
  • Participate in technology development and implementation by exploring new workflows to expand the group's biomarker bioanalytical capabilities.
  • Participate in all phases of mass spectrometry laboratory operations including technology evaluations, the development of sample preparation and separation methods, data analysis, interpretation, reporting and follow up discussions with the project teams on utilizing the data in appropriate decision making.
