The School of Education at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point seeks an energetic, organized individual to teach undergraduate and graduate level literacy courses. This position will pursue an active research agenda, maintain a full teaching load, and work collaboratively within the department, across the university and the broader community to promote the School of Education.

Required qualifications:

Earned bachelor's degree.
One of the following:To be considered for Lecturer rank - Must have an earned Master's degree in education or educational related field with the agreement to pursue and earn a doctoral degree within seven years of initial hire.
To be considered for tenure-track Faculty rank - Must have an earned Ph.D. or Ed.D. in literacy education or closely related field, OR;
Earned doctorate or ABD with intent to complete doctorate within one year in literacy education or closely related field for faculty rank.

17 Reading Specialist Licensure
Experienced, licensed teacher
At least three years of relevant experience. This may include work in K-12 education, higher education, and/or other human service-related fields.
A demonstrated ability to build relationships with students and colleagues.
Commitment to creating an inclusive environment in which the value of each person is recognized, supported, and respected.
High-quality written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to travel regionally (including valid WI driver's license)
Experience with diverse populations in a variety of collaborative settings
Demonstrated technology skills (e.g., digital platforms, social media, webpages, spreadsheets)

Preferred qualifications:

Experience mentoring student/intern pre-service teachers.
Experience with peer coaching and feedback for both pre-service and in-service teachers.
Experience in collaborative and/or inclusionary settings.
Demonstrated commitment to reflective teaching practices.
Experience and evidence of success with college level instruction.
Experience and evidence of success with online college level instruction.
Knowledge of Common Core Reading/Literacy Standards an RtI
