Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Cardiology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree.
Teaching responsibilities may include high quality teaching of CHOP fellows and residents as well as medical students from the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania.
Clinical responsibilities may include providing outpatient services at CHOP University City and the satellite locations.
The Medical Director for Outpatient and Community Cardiology will be responsible for overseeing the outpatient cardiac care provided across all CHOP locations in PA and NJ, and affiliated institutions. Responsibilities of the position include: providing strategic direction, specifically, but not limited to, future outpatient services needed to grow the Division of Cardiology and nursery coverage provided to affiliated institutions; Partnering with Medical Directors in Allentown, Voorhees and St. Peter's to ensure continuity among all CHOP locations; Meeting regularly with clinical and administrative leadership to develop and align overall strategic direction and partner to ensure staffing models are appropriate at each of the locations we provide care; Reviewing outpatient metrics to ensure our targets are achieved and identify additional metrics to track overtime.
