As the senior academic administrator for the college, the dean reflects and supports the University's mission and strategic plan. Working collaboratively with department chairs and faculty, the Dean directs the development, assessment, financial affairs, and oversight of all the College's academic programs, education, research and initiatives. Provide leadership for the College's curricular initiatives, professional training, and the recruitment and retention of high quality faculty, staff, and student talent. The Dean is accountable for the quality of the College's academic programs and faculty, aligning the priorities of the College with those of the University.
Establishes goals for the College and ensures that these goals are consistent with the mission and strategic plan of Florida Tech and have measurable benchmarks for success.

Works with department chairs in the development of departmental mission and vision statements and the development and assessment of departmental goals and learning outcomes.

Develops and maintains strong partnerships and relationships with alumni, businesses, industry partners, organizations and donors.

Works with Enrollment Management in the recruitment of new students, works with faculty and other university offices to retain students to graduation.

Achieves enrollment growth with new program development and successful implementation of initiatives.

Oversee the activities necessary to maintain the College's accreditations.

Serves as Executive Director for FIT Aviation LLC, providing oversight for flight training, FBO operations, and fleet maintenance.

Serves as the EASA Accountable Manager, establishing and maintaining a management system and ensuring its ongoing effectiveness.

Developing and maintaining the college's financial performance, investment priorities, and goals

Dean overseas the flight training operation.

A doctoral degree in aviation or a related field is required with a minimum of 10 years' experience in the aeronautical field with a background that includes commercial or military aviation.

Significant teaching experience and academic work experience is required.

An academic management/leadership background such as assistant/associate dean, dean, academic VP, faculty senate leadership, department head, interim/acting dean should be desirable.

AABI accreditation experience is desirable.

Familiarity to international contract environment is desirable.

Any additional tasks as assigned.

Official transcripts of all collegiate work must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Human Resources Office prior to the first day of employment. All international degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. (NACES).

The Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
