Posting Summary:
Provide high-level operational and logistical support to the Dean of Libraries, serving as primary contact for the Dean and the Dean's Office. Use judgment in problem resolution, prioritization of workflow, and decision-making regarding work methods and processes. Use discretion regarding disclosure and dissemination of sensitive information to internal and external constituents within the framework of departmental guidelines.

Respond to and resolve issues/problems that may be highly irregular, unique, sensitive in nature, and specialized, requiring a thorough understanding of University policy and external regulations. Provide complex information and assistance to internal and external constituents and interpret policies, procedures and guidelines. Manage logistical planning for emerging, sometimes campus-wide programming and partnership initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience):
Associate's degree and five years of relevant experience required. Experience coordinating and managing meetings and events with multiple components and deadlines. Confidence working in Microsoft Office applications and with other technology and software used to support area operations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the comfort and ability to work with confidential information.
Special Conditions:
External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required
Payband Min (Represents full-time (12 months, 1.0 FTE) equivalent salary. Must be prorated for jobs less than 12 months or 1.0FTE (Salary/12 x # of months x FTE)):
