The mission of the School of Nursing is to enhance and improve the health and well-being of the people of North Carolina and the nation, and, as relevant and appropriate, the people of other nations, through its programs of education, research, and scholarship, and through clinical practice and community service. The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Nursing has been the leader in nursing education in North Carolina throughout its history. Established in 1950, it was the first school of nursing in North Carolina to offer a four-year baccalaureate nursing degree program followed by the first master's degree program, the first continuing education program for nurses, first doctoral program, and first accelerated BSN option to students with college degrees. Today, the School is renowned for its academic programs, its research and its commitment to clinical and community service within state, national and global communities.
Position Summary:
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Nursing (SON), a research-intensive, top-ranked school of nursing seeks outstanding candidates for an Associate Dean for Strategic Partnership and Practice, a faculty position with administrative responsibilities. This individual is an innovative, inclusive, and dynamic leader in the School of Nursing with responsibility for cultivating and sustaining strategic external partnerships to promote health equity and support the overall mission and impact of the school related to academics, research, practice, and service.

The ADSPP is a 12-month full-time ranked faculty position with responsibilities for teaching, scholarship, and service with approximately 50% administrative appointment. This position will contribute to the mission of the school and the university. The ADSPP supports academic-practice partnerships and community practice initiatives at the local, state, and national levels through the development of initiatives that are both cutting-edge and responsive to current healthcare trends.

Other responsibilities include:

- Leads new and innovative strategic partnerships to support the SON mission

- Implements and evaluates the School's strategic plan initiatives that support practice

- Leads the academic-practice partnerships to fulfill the SON mission including:

- Scans the enrollment for new clinical sites, preceptors, and partnership initiatives; Fosters collaborative research opportunities in community and practice settings.

- Develops and sustains collaborative and interprofessional research partnerships to address critical problems in complex healthcare systems.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Earned doctorate in nursing or related discipline
Experience working in academic clinical environments
Demonstrated excellence in teaching, practice, mentorship, and scholarly productivity
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:
Graduate advance practice degree in nursing.
Demonstrated leadership in academic practice environments.
Experience in finance, budgeting, and business models in revenue generating practice initiatives.
Campus Security Authority Responsibilities:

This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Clery Act. This position will be required to report Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and complete annual training about reporting responsibilities.
