Join Dr. Tal Teitz' lab in the Department of Pharmacology as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. Play a role in identifying and developing drugs for the prevention of hearing loss.

Hearing loss due to cisplatin chemotherapy, noise or aging effects millions of people worldwide but there are no FDA-approved drugs for treating the majority of these medical needs.

Teitz's laboratory focuses on identifying and testing drugs for preventing hearing loss. We utilize a wide range of techniques including high-throughput cell-based screenings, ex-vivo cochlear explant cultures, molecular assays and animal models. We strive to develop drugs that will prevent hearing loss caused by cisplatin chemotherapy, noise and aging and in the process, improve our understanding of the molecular mechanisms governing cell death in the inner ear cells.

You will join our dynamic and successful team of six investigators, Postdoctoral Fellows and PhD students, who collaborate together on drug discovery and repurposing drugs projects for hearing loss and kidney damage. Your drive and talents will determine your contribution and success. You will participate in publishing scientific papers, grants, Scientific Meeting presentations and organization.
