Position Summary The Department of Neurological Sciences at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) seeks a Research Associate that will work in the laboratory of Dr. Howard Fox.
This Research Associate would work on animal and cellular models of disease. Study the Neuropathogenesis of disease in one or more systems ongoing in the laboratory; SIV effects on the brain, the role of mitochondria in neurodegenerative disorders, and systems biology approaches to generation and analyses of omics data from normal and diseases specimens.Duties will include development of laboratory experiments, cell culture and animal work, generation of data including high content 'omics' datasets, data analysis and writing manuscripts.Work with specimens from human subjects. Required Qualifications Ph.D. in an appropriate scientific field within Neuroscience.
Strong scientific writing skills and excellent communication skills.
