About the College/Unit/Department:
Founded in 2005, the College of Public Health is located on the University of Georgia's Health Sciences Campus. The College consists of four departments and three specialized institutes. The department is located in newly renovated facilities that house faculty, staff and students. The College of Public Health is actively engaged in community outreach activities.

Position Summary:
The College of Public Health at the University of Georgia invites applications for an associate professor position in the clinical track to serve as the Director of Online Programming and Professional Practice. The appointment is for a full-time administrative, 12-month position. The position is available starting summer 2023. This position would include coordinating all aspects of the newly created online Masters of Public Health program, as well as coordinating all online education and professional practice efforts across the College of Public Health. This position would also include establishing relationships and coordinating opportunities for practice experiences; community engagement initiatives; and/or research and scholarship opportunities that are in partnership with organizations seeking to improve the health of the people of Georgia, the United States, and globally. This includes overseeing functions such as continuing professional education, the State of the Public's Health Conference, and the Engage Series webinars. Additional duties would include assisting the Associate Dean for Research in identifying research and other funding sources for practice activities.

Organizational needs may require a remote work arrangement to support projects or conditions in the department pending review and approval by the required levels at UGA.
Additional Requirements:
The successful candidate will have achieved promotion to associate level faculty (tenure or non-tenure track) or have a minimum of five years' experience as assistant professor (tenure or non-tenure).

Appointment at the Clinical Associate Professor rank will require a relevant terminal degree and professional or academic experience, with professional work history in Public Health Academic and Professional Programs. Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or Certification:
The successful candidate will have a strong history supporting graduate programs as well as continuing and professional education design/delivery in public health. The candidate must have a history in community engagement, including developing student practicum experiences in public health as well as marketing professional education opportunities in public health.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:
The candidate must have familiarity with a full menu of tools for the development, delivery, and evaluation of online and professional practice education, and have strong organizational skills. Knowledge of accreditation of public health programs is strongly preferred. A background in grant and budget management is also preferred. The ability to interact effectively with faculty, staff, students, and community members is essential.

Preference will be given to qualified candidates who can demonstrate a commitment to diversity and inclusion in their teaching, research, and/or service.
