Hourly Pay Rate: $21.00

Candidate will be teaching the state Class 'D' License security course.

Must meet the state's qualifications to obtain a Class 'DI' instructor license:

"DI" APPLICANT:
1. Must be at least 18 years old and licensed as a Class "D" Security Officer for at least 3 years within the 5-year period
immediately preceding the date the application is submitted. A copy of high school diploma or GED certificate is
required, OR
2. Must submit a copy of an associate degree from a junior college or community college with a major course of study
in criminology, criminal justice, police science, or other course of study related to law enforcement or security and be
currently licensed as a Class "D" Security Officer for at least 1 year, OR
3. Must submit a copy of bachelor's, master's, or doctorate degree from a college or university with a major course
of study in education, criminology, criminal justice, police science, law or other course of study related to law
enforcement or security; OR
4. Must submit a certificate of completion from a federal, state, county or municipal law enforcement academy or
training facility which is comparable in hours and curriculum to the minimum standards established by the Florida
Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission for law enforcement officers, correctional officers or correctional
probation officers; OR
5. Must submit proof of having served not less than 1 year on active duty as a military policeman, security police officer,
or in other military law enforcement duty; OR
6. Relevant military training or education received and completed during service in the United States Armed Forces as
provided in Rule 5N-1.119, Florida Administrative Code; OR
7. Must be currently licensed as a Class "M" office manager or a Class "MB" security office manager and is serving or
has served in a licensed management position; OR
8. A "DI" applicant may qualify for licensure to teach only in specific subject areas relating to his professional training
and experience who:
a. Is licensed as a nurse, emergency medical technician or paramedic, or is otherwise professionally trained and
certified in emergency medical procedures; or
b. Has been certified as an instructor by the American Red Cross, American Heart Association or other similar
nationally recognized health and human care organization; or
c. Is a certified firefighter.

Allied Universal Services is seeking the position of a Security Trainer.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Be at least 21 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
  • Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
  • Capably utilize scheduling and billing software to produce reports (such as Scheduling Activity, Training Detail reports, etc.) that require interpretation and action for effective business management
  • Enforce Contract Standards
  • Administers site safety programs outlining site-specific hazards for security officers including vehicle / driving safety as appropriate to corporate procedures
  • Prepared to participate in unemployment hearings
  • Enforces Allied Universal's policies as outlined in the handbooks and executive memos
  • Able to:
    • Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
    • Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
    • Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
    • Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
