Position Summary Responsibilities include but are not limited to participating in existing research endeavors and establishing an extramurally funded research program. Additional expectations are training and supervision of undergraduate dental students and postgraduate residents in periodontics. This position reports to the Chair of the Department of Surgical Specialties. The preferred candidate should have:
A record of accomplishments in clinical or translational research, with a DDS/DMD degree.
Skills in team-based clinic education and care.
Experience or recent training in an academic setting. Required Qualifications Qualified candidates will have a DDS/DMD from an ADA accredited dental school or equivalent degree from an international program including successful completion of Part I and II of the National Board Dental Examination or an equivalent examination and a certificate/degree from a CODA accredited specialty program in Periodontics. Eligibility for Nebraska dental licensure is required. One day a week intramural or outside the college private practice opportunities are available.
