If you're looking for a change from traditional bedside nursing, consider the Director of Simulation position at La Roche University. We are looking for a highly organized individual to lead the simulation experience for nursing students in a state of the art simulation center. The position is daylight, Monday through Friday.
This position will be located at La Roche's main campus located in the North Hills neighborhood of Pittsburgh, and is considered full-time, year-round position with corresponding benefits; this position is scheduled to begin on or around July 2023.
La Roche offers a multitude of other educational programs including an Associate of Science (ASN) in Nursing, an online RN to Bachelor of Science (RN to BSN) with an optional online RN to Master of Science (RN to MSN) in Nursing, and an online Master of Science (MSN) in Nursing program with specializations in Administration, Education, or Clinical Nurse Leader.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Develops, implements, updates, and monitors simulation lab policies, procedures, use, and operation.
Monitors and schedules use, signing out, and movement of simulation lab equipment
Develops, presents, evaluates, and refines scenarios for simulation experiences, utilizing role playing, props, and dialogue to create a realistic learning environment
Develops and implements clinical simulation to meet accreditation standards
Creates and maintains a respectful and professional working environment, incorporating active learning, reflective thinking, and a confidential debriefing process
Performs data analysis to evaluate learning and satisfaction with the provision of services
Continuously updates and refines simulation experiences based on identifies needs and to serve as a resource for faculty utilizing simulation in classroom/lab activities
Monitors and maintains lab inventory, completes equipment orders and reorders each semester.
Ensures the safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials
Monitors and assures appropriate standards of lab cleanliness, provides for equipment maintenance, repair, and replacement
Models professional standards, including customer service, collaboration, communication, excellence, and attendance
Works closely with Nursing faculty to appropriately integrate lab operations, obtain maximum utilization for the most efficient expenditure, and to moderate student costs
Monitors evaluation of simulation experience and collects data for annual program reports
