Position Summary Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapy Training Program
The Division of Hematology & Oncology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE, is excited to offer a new training program for physicians who have finished an ACGME accredited Hematology fellowship and wish to pursue a career in Blood and Marrow Transplantation and Cellular Therapies (TCT).
We are actively recruiting a physician for a position as a clinical instructor who is interested in pursuing a career in Blood and Marrow Transplantation and Cellular Therapies (TCT) for a one-year fellowship specializing in TCT.
This training opportunity in TCT aims to ensure that physicians are well prepared to carry out the transplant procedures with utmost confidence and have a firm grasp of the science behind it.
Through collaboration between the UNMC's Oncology/Hematology Division and our hospital partner, Nebraska Medicine, patients experience personalized care based on the latest scientific research. This one-year comprehensive program aims to provide highly focused learning opportunities for physicians interested in TCT.
Overview of the Training Program
Rotation name and Duration· Inpatient TCT rotation 3 months· Outpatient TCT rotation 3 months· Laboratory & Procedures 1 Month·Methodology of HLA typing·Biologics Production Facility·Transfusion Medicine·Apheresis·Molecular genetics· Accreditation and Standards· Transplant Infectious Disease rotation 0.5 month· Palliative care/Supportive oncology rotation 0.5 month
· Research elective and career development 3 months

The successful candidate must be an MD/DO/MBBS (or equivalent degree) who will have successfully completed an accredited Hematology fellowship by the time they start the program here.
