We are located in an award-winning building adjacent to UCSF's Mission Bay Campus. Gladstone has consistently ranked as one of the top places to work in academia in the United States.

The Palop Lab at the Gladstone Institutes and UCSF is seeking a Research Associate to assist in studies focusing on cognitive and network dysfunction in mouse models of Alzheimer's disease. Responsibilities will also extend to supervising mouse colonies with lab members (not including genotyping, earmarking, and mouse husbandry) and performing behavioral testing using standard and machine learning approaches. Depending on interest and skills, the successful candidate may carry out independent experiments and be trained to perform specialized laboratory techniques such as brain surgeries for LFP/EEG recordings and optogenetic in vivo stimulations.

Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree in biological sciences with some relevant experience working on neuroscience. Postbac candidates are encouraged to apply. Please provide a cover letter, CV and names of references.
