Renovaro Biosciences is a biotechnology company committed to developing advanced allogenic cell and gene therapies. Our proprietary technology aims to promote stronger immune system responses for long-term or life-long cancer remission, in some of the deadliest cancers and potentially to treat or cure serious infectious diseases such as HIV and Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infections.
We are seeking a talented, collaborative and creative Senior/Principal Scientist level immunologist to provide strong contributions to our R&D activities including bench work management and translational science with CROs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will have a solid foundation in immunology and molecular biology, with expertise in cell and gene therapy. This person will play an essential role in developing and executing pre-clinical and/or translational studies to support characterization and mechanistic elucidation cell and or gene modified cell products in cancer and infectious diseases. The individual will be expected to take lead role in identifying and executing appropriate in vitro test methodology, relevant animal models, be the technical intermediate with CROs, interpret data and communicate findings to project teams. The position requires working independently, thinking creatively and inventively, as well as collaborating effectively with colleagues from diverse disciplines.

Requirements:
- Immunology expertise with in-depth knowledge of cell/immune oncology approaches to treating cancer and infectious diseases.
- Proficiency in design and execution of preclinical studies such as immune cell-based assays, pharmacology and/or translational studies supporting therapeutic development and IND-enabling studies. Demonstrated proficiency leveraging immunology datasets (e.g., flow cytometry, imaging, molecular data.) to mechanism of action/functional development and drug potency. Knowledge on antigen presenting cells and/or CAR-T, NKs etc is a plus
- Experience in training, coaching and supervising scientific researchers in product development. Effective communicator, able to represent the function on interdisciplinary project teams. Good interpersonal skills, leading and managing external collaborations including CRO's.
EDUCATION
- Ph.D. in immunology/molecular biology or related discipline and relevant industrial biopharma experience in cell/gene therapy development.
