Faculty Position – Transplant Nephrologist
Kidney Diseases and Hypertension
The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, an independent non-profit academic clinical practice group affiliated with The George Washington University, is seeking an additional full-time, academic Transplant Nephrologist for its Division of Kidney Diseases & Hypertension in the Department of Medicine. This non-tenure-track appointment will be made at a rank of (Instructor/Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) commensurate with experience.
The incumbent will be expected to contribute to all aspects of the multidisciplinary GW Kidney Transplant Program, including evaluating and managing transplant candidates and living donors as well as staffing an in-patient transplant service.
Basic Qualifications: Applicants must be board certified/eligible in Nephrology, and be eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia, at the time of appointment. Applicants must have completed transplant nephrology training in an accredited transplant fellowship program and must satisfy the United Network for Organ Sharing requirements for designation as a primary kidney transplant physician. Applicants must have a record of experience and a commitment to maintaining a research program and is expected to participate actively in the training of medical students, residents, and fellows.
