The Department of Integrative Structural and Computational Biology at Scripps Research in La Jolla CA seeks outstanding applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position. We invite applications from investigators studying cutting-edge aspects in structural, cellular, and computational biology, including but not limited to AI approaches for structure, biophysics, and system-level understanding of complex biological systems, methods development, as well as drug discovery and protein design.

The Integrative Structural and Computational Biology Department at Scripps Research offers a dynamic environment and provides a multi-disciplinary, collaborative atmosphere, fostering cutting-edge biomedical research. The Department hosts substantial expertise in structure, biophysics, computational biology, and bioinformatics. State-of-the-art facilities at Scripps Research enable multi-disciplinary approaches, including single-cell transcriptomics and proteomics, super-resolution microscopy, single particle cryo-electron microscopy, cellular cryo-electron tomography, macromolecular crystallization and x-ray crystallography, flow cytometry, drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics, medicinal chemistry, and ultra high-throughput small molecule screening for drug discovery.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a Ph.D., PharmD., M.D., D.V.M., or equivalent in a relevant discipline, and an outstanding record of research that demonstrates originality in addressing significant questions. Successful candidates will be expected to establish an active research group, be an interactive member of the faculty, and participate in interdisciplinary research and training.
