Minimum Requirements:

Candidates must possess an earned Ph.D. in communication or other relevant field by August 2024 and a record of original scholarly research. For those individuals applying to the associate professor position, applicants will need a record of original scholarly research, teaching, and service commensurate with appointment at the associate professor level.

Preferred Qualifications:

*Qualifications and Responsibilities *

* Candidates must possess an earned Ph.D. in communication or other relevant field by August 2024 and a record of original scholarly research. For those individuals applying to the associate professor position, applicants will need a record of original scholarly research, teaching, and service commensurate with appointment at the associate professor level.
* Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated expertise in one or a combination of the following areas: artificial intelligence, corporate communication, corporate social responsibility, crisis communication, data analytics, internal communication, political public relations, public interest communication, social media, sports public relations, and other areas relevant to public relations.
* Other qualifications include evidence of excellence in teaching, a publication record and productive research program, and potential to secure grant funding.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in public relations or public interest communication. The faculty member will teach and supervise graduate students. Candidates will mentor undergraduate and graduate students, engage in governance and other service activities, and demonstrate interest in contributing to online education, diversity, and the internationalization of the college and university. The candidate will also be expected to conduct scholarly or creative research.
