The Department of Performance Design and Technology in the Division of PerformingArts at Alfred University is seeking applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor inPerformance, Design & Technology (PDAT). Candidates should have excellentcollaboration and teaching skills, and have experience in lighting, scenic, makeup &costume design with an expertisein scenic and lighting.Candidates should demonstrate strong scholarship and/or artistic practice and have demonstrable excellent skills in teaching undergraduates from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.The teaching responsibilities of 12 credits per semester include courses including set, lighting makeup, costume, and advanced courses in areas of design and, and designing for divisional productions. Thesuccessful candidate will also engage in divisional service.The Division of Performing Arts includes four departments: theater, music, dance and performance design and technology housed in excellent facilities. Theatre and Music offer BA degrees and PDAT & Dance offer minors.The Division of Performing Arts is part of Alfred University, an accredited member of theMiddle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
