Assistant Professor of Chemistry
The Department of Natural and Physical Sciences at Graceland University seeks
candidates for a Tenure Track Assistant Professor position to start Augus 15, 2024. The
candidate should have a Ph.D. (ABD is acceptable) in chemistry at the time of
appointment. Preference will be given for expertise in biochemistry or an area that
complements our current chemistry faculty (MS candidates will be considered for a
Non-tenure Track Assistant Professor term position. Duties include teaching of courses
in chemistry, including laboratories, courses in the general education program, and
some laboratory preparation/equipment maintenance. Other duties include, but are not
limited to, mentoring senior research projects, advising students, help with recruiting
new students continued professional development, serving on department and university
committees, helping to recruit prospective students, and providing other service to the
university. Review of application will begin September 23, 2023 and will continue until
the position is filled.
