Position Summary:Northwest Campus is looking for adjunct faculty/part-time instructors. Adjunct positions are on a semester-by-semester contract basis. Successful acceptance into the adjunct pool does not guarantee an offer of a contract. Employment is dependent on UAF course approval. Duties to include instruction, advising students in subject matter and developing a course outline, syllabus, teaching materials, and tests as needed.

Northwest Campus is looking for temporary adjunct instructors. Adjunct positions are on a semester-by-semester contract basis. Successful acceptance into the adjunct pool does not guarantee an offer of a contract. Employment is dependent on UAF course approval. Candidates will be evaluated on the suitability of their academic preparation, past teaching experience and potential for providing high-quality instruction to undergraduate students. Prospective candidates will possess the knowledge, experience, and expertise in a subject or activity including, but not limited to Accounting, Alaska Native Studies, Applied Art, Applied Business, Psychology, Social Work, Rural Development, Early Childhood Education, Library Science, Mathematics, Developmental Studies, Science, Tribal Management. Salary is based on the number of previous semesters teaching within the University of Alaska.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:Candidates will be evaluated on the suitability of their academic preparation, past teaching experience, and potential for providing high-quality instruction to undergraduate students. Prospective candidates will possess knowledge, experience, and expertise in a subject matter or activity that could be shared with interested students by developing and/or teaching in a specific subject area preferred, but at a minimum, demonstrated experience and expertise in the subject is required
Preferred Experience & Education:
Demonstrated experience and expertise in the subject area is required.
Required Experience & Education:
Academic Disciplines: Bachelors degree or higher with teaching experience in the appropriate area.
Vocational Disciplines: Bachelor degree or field related experience sufficient to perform teaching assignment required w/demonstrated experience and expertise in the subject required.
Masters in the subject area preferred.
Salary Information:
This is a part-time,adjunct represented (https://www.alaska.edu/hr/labor/files/labor_relations/adjuncts_unad/2022-2025%20UA%20and%20UNAD%20Adjuncts%20CBA.pdf) temporary position. New hires will be placed on the adjunct salary schedule as outline in theUNAD CBA (https://www.alaska.edu/hr/labor/files/labor_relations/adjuncts_unad/2022-2025%20UA%20and%20UNAD%20Adjuncts%20CBA.pdf) , based on education and experience.
