In this position, you will be working at the cutting edge of cloud computing, Python/C++ development, and advanced MD simulation techniques to investigate the mechanistic details of passive membrane permeability of drug-like molecules. Your work will have the potential to make a major impact in drug discovery research and will likely be used by many pharmaceutical and biotech companies around the world.

You will join a team of mostly PhD-level scientists and developers who are driven to perform the next generation of biomolecular simulations today, and a group that excels in code optimization, molecular theory, and the scientific process. We are also skilled C++ and Python developers who enjoy discussing the science of drug discovery and the state and direction of the field.

What you should have:

  • Master's or PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field
  • 3 or more years of experience developing in modern scientific languages (Python/C++/etc.)
  • Background in the computational prediction of passive membrane permeability
  • Good people/communication skills and ability to work as a part of a team
  • Ability to work under a development schedule, balancing features with delivery
The following are a PLUS, but not required:
  • Contributor to a major scientific code base related to MD simulations or analysis
  • 1 or more years of experience with enhanced sampling MD simulations
  • Distributed computing using HPC clusters or cloud platforms
